Divine Appointment and Mother Chooses Life.

"The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray
ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth
labourers into his harvest." - Luke 10:2
Speaking of prayer, many times over the last few years, emails and
updates from Personhood Mississippi
, we have mentioned all the ministry opportunities God provides to
folks who get involved in this fight for life. Please allow me to
share a great story about one such glorious opportunity God
provided this past Monday.
Phillip Morris and I spent the day Monday meeting and recruiting
county & church volunteers coordinators in Grenada, Winona, and
Eupora. The previous Saturday, my family and I had handed out over
1000 Yes on 26 cards, along with
other pro-life literature and Gospel tracts in Water Valley and
Pontotoc. But, we had not gotten the opportunity to share the
Gospel or talk to anyone in need -- which is normally something
that happens. At the end of the day I realized that we had not
prayed before we began. And I was reminded that even when we are
doing things that we believe the Lord would have us do, we still
must be dependent upon Him.
So, Monday before I left, my wife and I prayed that God might open
doors to talk to someone in need and that He might give us the
courage & wisdom to speak.
At lunch Phillip, myself, and a counselor from a Crisis Pregnacy
Center were sitting in a cafe in Eupora talking about the Yes on 26 Campaign and how to best
spread the word in Webster County. There was a stack of cards lying
on the table that had a picture of an unborn baby on them.
After coming by the table several times, she finally said "That
picture makes me sad".
When we asked why, she told us that she had three children and was
three months pregnant. She said she was trying to "decide what to
do".
We told her that abortion would not solve her problems only create
more because it would not make her "un-pregnant" it would simply
make her the mother of a dead baby.
Then the CPC counselor asked if she could come back after the
waitress got off work and help her.
When the young mother hesitated, I told her that the God who
created all of the heavens and the earth had decreed trillions of
years ago that we would all be there together right then, That He
had orchestrated this moment so we could be there when she had a
need. I told her of the love of Christ, of our love for her and her
baby, and that we would help her through her pregnancy and adopt
her baby if she didn't want to keep it.
Then, she sadly said, "I want to keep my baby. The daddy doesn't
want it" and agreed to meet with the counselor after work.
A few hours later, I received a call. She is definitely NOT going
to abort! She is open to help temporally and Spiritually & will
stay in touch! Praise the Lord for His mercy on this mother and
baby and His goodness to allow us to see & be a part of His
work!
